SKOWHEGAN — Police on Wednesday widened the investigation into reports of windows being shot out, apparently by someone using a pellet gun. Two dozen complaints of shattered motor vehicle windows were taken Tuesday, with more reported Wednesday, Skowhegan police Officer Don Avery said. A window also was shot out of a transport bus at a church on Old Point Avenue in Madison, with five or six more cases of similar vandalism being handled by the sheriff’s department in Norridgewock, Avery said. The total number of vandalism cases stands at about 30. Anyone with information on the cases is asked to call the Skowhegan Police Department anonymous tip line at 474-6915.
