Time Warner customers experiencing outages

Time Warner Cable customers throughout Maine and New England are without land line telephone and Internet service this afternoon.

Peter DeWitt, a spokesman for Time Warner Cable, said Sunday customers in Maine, parts of New Hampshire and New York state are “experiencing a loss of connectivity (based) from our Syracuse hub.”

Outages started Sunday morning, customers have reported to the Kennebec Journal.

DeWitt did not know how many people in Maine or throughout New England were without a telephone land line or Internet service Sunday, but said Time Warner Cable is currently “working on the problem and will get service restored as quickly as possible.”

There have been no reports at this time of customers losing their television signal.
