Scarborough wins Class A boys soccer title

SCARBOROUGH — Chase Beech's goal 12 minutes into the second half helped Scarborough win the Class A championship with a 2-1 win over Brunswick.

Saturday at the MItchell Sports Complex, the Red Storm capped off an undefeated season and won their second consecutive Class A championship.

Trevor Hoxsie scored on a direct kick in the 21st minute to give the Red Storm (18-0) a 1-0 lead going into halftime, before Beech scored to give Scarborough a 2-0 lead.

Brunswick's Peter Morrell scored to cut the Red Storm's lead to 2-1 in the 59th minute.
