PORTLAND — Portland Police Chief James Craig will speak at the Eggs & Issues event Wednesday at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, hosted by the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Doors for the gathering of Portland's business leaders will open at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast and networking, and the program will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Craig will discuss Portland's crime issues and how they affect the community.  He'll also share his vision and ideas for law enforcement in the city.  Born and raised in Detroit, Mich., Craig has a career in policing that spans more than 30 years and includes positions in his hometown and in Los Angeles before his arrival in Portland in May.

Eggs & Issues is held each month (except July and August) and features a speaker who addresses current issues of the region.  This season marks the event's 26th anniversary.
