Police search for Portland Key Bank robber

PORTLAND — Police are searching for a man who robbed the Key Bank at 400 Forest Ave. this afternoon.

Capt. Ted Ross said the suspect demanded money from a teller before fleeing on foot in the direction of the University of Southern Maine.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall, and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket with a gray T-shirt, sunglasses and a tan baseball cap.

No one was injured during the robbery. Anyone with information regarding the robbery, should contact Portland police at 874-8592.

The robbery took place around 2:20 p.m.
