PORTLAND -- A Portland man charged with gunning down a 24-year-old man on an apartment house porch last week is due in court today.

Daudoit Butsitsi, who's also 24, was arrested Friday afternoon and is being held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail.

The victim, Serge Mulongo, was shot on the porch outside a building where he'd been attending a party.

Police Capt. Ted Ross says investigators are still looking into motive. But he says the two men had a grudge after a previous altercation.

Two people were seen running from the scene of the shooting. Ross says police have identified everyone who was present that night.
