An occupational health services clinic will open in September at MaineGeneral Health’s facilities in downtown Winthrop, according to a statement released Thursday by the health services company. Occupational medicine physician Lisa Clarq will staff the clinic, which will specialize in treating Winthrop-area employees who have been injured or become ill on the job. "It will mean less travel, less time away from work and more cost-effective care," Denise Dumont-Bernier, MaineGeneral’s director of workplace health, said in a statement. The Winthrop clinic will coordinate with MaineGeneral’s nearby Manchester facility, where occupational and physical therapy services are available. MaineGeneral's Winthrop facility houses Winthrop Family Practice, a pediatrics practice, an orthopedics office, imaging facilities and a laboratory. Bookmark/Search this post with: |
