AUGUSTA — Smokey’s Greater Shows is expected to return to the city’s Mill Park for a week later this month. The City Council is scheduled to consider authorizing use of the park by the carnival next week. The carnival has also located at the riverside site in several recent summers. If use of the park is approved, the carnival rides and booths are expected June 22 to 28, according to Leif Dahlin, the city's community services director. The carnival pays for use of the site. Dahlin said the city typically nets about $4,500 in revenues from the carnival’s visit. Bookmark/Search this post with: |
