PORTLAND -- Casco Bay Lines' board of directors will hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. today in the conference room at the ferry terminal to discuss a controversial proposal to increase fares.

PORTLAND -- Police are investigating a burglary at The Stadium Restaurant and Sports Bar on Congress Street.

Pre-dawn fire on Peaks Island

PEAKS ISLAND -- A fire that broke out in a building here before daybreak is no longer burning, although investigators are still on the scene trying to sort out the mess.
