York 40 Nokomis 35 (final)

BANGOR — York High made it interesting, but held on to win the school's third Class B state championship, beating Nokomis 40-35 Friday night at the Bangor Auditorium.

York wins the Class B state title with a 40-35 victory over Nokomis. Nicole Taylor scored 16 points to lead York and the Wildcats survived some sloppy play down the stretch.

Madison wins Class C West, 37-23

Top-seeded Madison held No. 2 Waynflete without a field goal for more than 16 minutes on the way to a 37-23 victory in the Western Maine Class C girls basketball championship Saturday night.

Final: Camden Hills 82, Ellsworth 49

In this game that was never in doubt, Tyler McFarland led Camden Hills with 18 points. A very impressive showing by the Windjammers.
